COURSE UPDATE for this year’s Kaiteriteri Gold

Nelson and the Tasman region are living up to their reputation as sunny destinations – which has lead to a large portion of our event day course now being closed.

We take the safety of our participants and crew as of the upmost importance and so we’ve made the call now to head back to the road!

The Half Marathon course will now run from the beachfront at Kaiteriteri through Marahau, will turn up Marahau Valley Road before retracing your steps back to the Golden Sands finish.

The 14km will now be a slightly short 12km which will have the participants of this event (whether you’re running, walking or a hybrid mix you’re all in it together) starting on the beachfront and following the same course as the half marathon participants except you will start making your return journey from the Kaiteriteri Sandy Bay Road / Sandy Bay Marahau intersection.

We will endeavour to create a basic map and place on the website in the next couple of days (But, for both events, it simply ‘out and back’ and all on the road).
