Saturday’s 21st Abel Tasman Coastal Classic has certainly built a reputation as a must do trail run.
Over 350 competitors will foot it 36 kilometres from Awaroa Lodge back to Marahau in the event whi9ch has been sold out for months.
Nelson region has a ”mere “ 60 taking part, dwarfed by 140 from the North Island and 13 journeying from overseas. The rest, principally from the Canterbury region all get to taste the country’s top coastal running challenge which was recently included in UK Trail Running Magazine’s top 50 worldwide trail runs.

This includes your Registration Certificate to download, print, fill in and bring with you to exchange for your race pack (remember if you don't have access to a printer then we have spares at Registration).
There is an early pick up option available on Friday night at migym, 70 Bridge St. 5.00pm-6.00pm.

Thirkettle Nurseries have laid out the challenge for other workplaces - to take their fine teamwork skills outside of the workplace and into the heart of Mahana, at this year's The Hits Run Mahana running and walking festival based at Woollaston Estates on Sunday November 30.
Over 30 staff will hang up their gumboots and replace them for their trainers for the 10km event.
Whilst the motivation for some will be the bottle of Woollaston Estate wine when they cross the finish line, the team at Thirkettle Nurseries believe that this is a great team building exercise and a good opportunity to get to know your workmates in a completely different environment as well as a perfect...
