Entry closes later this morning (Monday) ....
Congratulations to Anthea Shearer, who won the EARLY BIRD PRIZE for The Hits Run Mahana.
Here she is instore at Shoe Clinic Nelson with Rachael of Migym, and Brett of Shoe Clinic. Awesome.
Ever noticed that the previous four winners have also been female?
Well, historically, more women than men tend to enter The Hits Nelson Run Mahana early therefore have better odds. Indeed, as is normal, we are currently sitting at a 70% female field for the 2015 event. We expect the male influx to begin about now as entries draw to a close .... ;)
Don't miss out - get your entry in NOW so you too can be on the startline on the 29th of November
The team from migym have organised four time pacers for those that are targeting 45 minutes, 50 minutes, 55 minutes or 60 minutes for their 10km loop. NEW FOR 2015 - ALL EVENTS START from inside Mahana Estates itself. That means that this year, the 10km will have the first 800m of their course within the gorgeous Mahana vineyard before exiting and then continuing on George Harvey Road (see map below).
The 5km will also start within Mahana Estates, then head down onto School Road via the 'backyard' vineyard road - the rest of the loop will remain as per previous years. Awesome.
We went out to Mahana on the weekend and checked out the revised start sections - they are looking pretty good, as are the top relaxation spots for maximum enjoyment post your run/walk/hybrid. Remember there is a competition currently running...
