EARLY Registration on Friday Night

This year we have a Friday Night Early Registration available to all participants.

Come along and pick up your Race Pack on Friday (31st August) between 5pm and 6pm, upstairs at Migym, 70 Bridge Street in Nelson City.
You will need to present your completed Registration Certificate (please click here to download the pdf document) to receive your race number (and race pack) at registration. We will have spares available at Registration if you don't have access to a printer.

Any pre-ordered merchandise will be in your Race Pack.

If you can't make it on Friday evening, Registration will be available on the Saturday morning of the event. Please allow plenty of time.

ALL participants will be required to have their Compulsory Gear checked on Saturday morning. Please allow time for this to occur.

 

Pre-Booked Transport

For those that have pre-booked a seat on the bus, the buses will depart from the OK Corral finish area (Tantragee Rd, off Brook St) from 7.15am on Event day.  Please park any vehicles on Brook Street, to leave the finish area clear.

7:15am Saturday 1st Sept - Original Course WAVE 1 Transport Check In.
Original Course Participants Wave 1- Transport Check In -OK Corral finish area

7:45am Saturday 1st Sept - Original Course WAVE 2 Transport Check In.

Own Transport

Allow 40 minutes driving from central Nelson to the Maitai Dam. Please be aware the road is not sealed the whole way and the road narrows in sections, drive with caution.

There will be Runners in the Long Course on the road between the Maitai Camp & Smith’s Ford...approx 3km
Please drive carefully & slowly.

Also note that the gate to the Maitai Dam will be locked once the final competitors have started, therefore, it is important that if you were wanting to leave your car up the valley, you will need to park it before the Maitai Dam gate (800m from the start line).
Our crew are not in a position to move your car for you.

Wave Starts



LONG COURSE DUN RUN COMPETITORS
 
Registration and Check In on Saturday morning is at the Long Course Start area (Trafalgar Street Bridge over the Maitai River, next to Nelson iSite) and is open at 7:00am. Race Briefing is 7:15am and Start for Long Course Competitors is 7:30am

ORIGINAL DUN RUN COMPETITORS
Unless you are catching the bus from the OK Corral finish area, then please arrive at the Maitai Dam at least 40 minutes prior to your scheduled Wave start time.
These are available to view over on the event website

Wave 1:  8.45am Start
Wave 2:  9.15am Start
Wave 3:  9.30am Start


You will need to present your completed Registration Certificate (please click here to download the pdf document) to receive your race number (and race pack) at registration and have your compulsory gear check.  We will have spares available at Registration if you don't have access to a printer.


 

Compulsory Gear


A reminder that you need to wear or carry all of the following at all times throughout the race:
-Polypropylene (or equivalent) top
-Wind/waterproof Jacket
-Polypropylene (or equivalent) hat
-Polypropylene (or equivalent) gloves
-Survival Blanket
-Whistle
-Water

* At least one of your garments must be long sleeved (ie either your top or your jacket (or both) must have long sleeves).
**There are no water stations on the course.

THESE ITEMS WILL BE CHECKED - YOU MUST HAVE ALL COMPULSORY GEAR TO BE ABLE TO START


 

Medical Information

Should you have any medical conditions that we need to know about, these need to be noted on your registration certificate and also written on the back of your race number.
Marker pens will be available at registration for this.
Any emergency medication should be with you at all times throughout the event.

 

Finish Line Gear

We can transport a small bag from the start area to the finish line area for you.
A Bag Label will be provided in your Race Pack - please place this label on your Finish Line gear bag and place inside the vehicle at Registration that is designated for transporting these to the finish.

Finish Area


We look forward to welcoming you to the Finish Line after your Dun Run.

This year the finish area is located in the new carpark located behind the Riding for the Disabled buildings. The area can be reached by your supporters by turning off Brook Street onto the Tantragee Road then take the first left within 200m. Please note, they will not be able to drive into this area - they will need to park their vehicle in Brook Street and walk into the finish area.

 

 
Located at the Finish Area will be an Aid Station including fresh fruit and water, plus MiMassage and the Kiwi Multisport team.

The MiMassage team will be on location so grab a Massage after your run!
 
Restore your legs and flush out those toxins, just $10 for a post-run massage! 
Look out for the massage tent at the finish, and get your name on the booking sheet so you don't miss out.

Prizegiving Lunch


You will have earnt your Railway Pie and sides!  Prizegiving lunch will begin service from 12:30pm at the New Street Steakhouse on Collingwood Street

You and your supporter (if supporter lunch has been pre-purchased) can make your way to the Steakhouse from 12:30pm, they will be serving right up till Prizegiving at approximately 3pm .
