Are you getting a GARMIN or FITBIT for Xmas, is a running watch on your wishlist?

Well, if Santa does grant your wish then you need to leave it at home on Sunday 14th January when you Run or Walk the NBS Nelson Striders Half Marathon or 10km.

Watches, timepieces of any description, ipods, phones or anything that can tell the time other than the early morning sun are not allowed in this iconic Nelson event, now in its 24th Edition.

All you'll have to pass the time away are your fellow running and walking mates plus the idyllic Maitai River as it meanders down the valley.
