20th ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF THE ABEL TASMAN COASTAL CLASSIC SOLD OUT WITHIN A WEEK

The Kaiteriteri Gold Half Marathon has developed a reputation as a challenging but “ must do” 21.1km road run.

The Sandy Bay Hill has to be climbed at the mid point but that is made better with Jim Fraser and his pipes billowing out a tune as they reach the summit.

Those who reach the finish back at Kaiteriteri know that they have accomplished a “real run”.

Most have returned over the event’s 22 year history and many will be back on the 2013 startline come Saturday March 16TH for the 23rd edition.

Nelson Events are again also offering a 10km .. its course out and back to the Marahau turnoff which also has a few “undulations”

The online entry site issue has now been resolved - was due to a bit of embedded in code in one part of the Terms and Conditions, which was stopping anyone on a particular version of Internet Explorer to go any further. This has been fixed, and should be working fine now.

April’s, Alpine Lodge Loop the Lake is oversubscribed with a waiting list now in place for the popular circuit of Lake Rotoiti in the Nelson Lakes National Park.

Two months out from the idyllic 25km trail run and all 400 places in the extended capacity have been quickly taken with over two thirds of the field travelling from outside the Nelson province to participate.

July’s Furneaux Lodge Captain Cook’s Landing is also heading towards the same sell out status as only 40 spots are left for this pristine point to point journey along the Queen Charlotte Track from historic Ship Cove to Punga Cove.

And advanced warning to trailrunners that September’s Abel Tasman...
