Nelson Nature is Nelson City Council’s biodiversity programme, which aims to support and restore our region’s natural environment. Due it its geology, the Dun Mountain is a unique environment that supports its own specific flora and fauna, some of which are found nowhere else. Nelson Nature is working to protect these areas through control of invasive weeds and pests. We hope that as you run through this special place, you can appreciate how lucky we are to have such a treasure on our doorstep. Check us out at www.nelsonnature.nz

'Looking towards a brilliant day
Bit of Draft out wide at present but clearing'
Tony Crapper, Beachcomber

Please note the following track update from DOC:
DOC have completed maintenance work within the track over the last week, however, given the weather over the last few days it is likely there will be a few obstacles on the track.
The track down from Ship Cove is extremely slippery this year - take care on this final downhill section into Ship Cove.

Travel safe, see you 7.30am at the Beachcomber Pier, Picton Town Wharf tomorrow (Saturday) morning Captain Cookers!
