The 2012 Escape from Tane's Forest: The Sanctuary Run - Destination Nelson
Saturday the 30th June 2012
In traditional Southtop Strider Trail style the Nelson Edition of Escape From Tane's Forest has got it all,
History, Mystery and Scenery
And there is both a LONG course option (25km) and a SHORT course option (14km).
Muck in with your Mates Challenge
Be it true mates, workmates, family mates or training mates? Then enter in the 'Muck in with your Mates' challenge - only rule is that you start together and finish together (you all still complete the distance individually). Can be completed in twos or threes, and all 'mates' go in the draw for a special major spot prize to be drawn at the event prizegiving. A great way to get into the trail running scene with a friend or encourage a friend that just needs a little mateship to get through.
Entry includes:
Limited edition shoe/gear bag
An amazing experience in the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary
Prizegiving evening meal in the heart of Nelson City
A complimentary specially brewed event beer
The chance to walk away with one of many fantastic and unique spot prizes
Choose from two options, a SHORT course of 14km, or the LONG course of 25km
LONG Course (approx 25km): If you can complete a half marathon (21km on the road or equivalent) in under 2.10 hours then you can enter Escape from Tane's Forest Long course
SHORT Course (approx 14km): To complete this event, we suggest you are of a fitness level that you could complete a half marathon (21km on the road or equivalent) in under 3.00 hours.
